Procedure Description:
The endoscope is the instrument that makes this surgery possible. It consists of a tubular probe fitted with a tiny camera and a bright light. Orthopedic surgeons and gynecologists often use similar instruments.
What To Expect:
The Endoscopic Forehead Lift (Brow Lift) utilizes a tiny video camera and fiberoptic light source. Less surgical dissection and minimal scars are the result. They can be hidden within the hairline. Through these incisions the forehead wrinkles can be softened and the brows themselves can be conservatively elevated. This produces a brighter, friendlier and more glamorous appearence.
Preprocedure:
During your pre-operative consultation in our office, Dr. Harvey will take your medical history, perform an examination, take clinical photographs, and recommend and explain options that are appropriate for you. Patient Coordinators, Patricia Gottschalk and Mamie Lee, will discuss financial information and assist in scheduling your procedure.
Postprocedure:
Back to work: 3 to 5 days. More strenuous activity: several weeks. Full recovery from bruising: 1 to 2 weeks. Limit sun exposure for several months.
